Faridabad is one of the most reputed and old industrial hub of North India. This suburban city of Delhi holds utmost importance in India’s both economic, as well as MSME landscape. Several industry associations are working for the interest of MSMEs in the national capital region. But Faridabad Small Industries Association (FSIA) is in the forefront of putting across the voices of the manufacturing industry.
FSIA was established in 1977 and is the largest association of MSMEs in Haryana. FSIA today has carved a niche for itself at the national and international forums. It has been successfully representing problems of small industries & working for their overall development.
Rajiv Chawla, President of FSIA gave an overview of the association’s priorities by saying, “Indian MSMEs are on a threshold of change. At FSIA, we strive hard in making the MSMEs grow to their next level. Making them realise their full potential. In this bid, FSIA has signed a MoU with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) to introduce special schemes of Collateral-free Equipment Finance up to Rs 50 lacs exclusively for FSIA Members at interest rates PLF less 0.5 per cent.”
The association has also signed a MoU with National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) to ensure awareness regarding various services and subsidies provided to SSI units by NSIC. Several schemes and programs from NSIC are rolled out though FSIA’s office.
Central Excise, Service Tax and Customs Help Center run from FSIA Office where guidance and advice are provided to SSI units in related areas.
FSIA is actively associated with various national bodies like CII, FICCI and PHDCCI. It is represented in Public Grievance and Regional Advisory Committee of Central Excise, as well as in various Policy making and Advisory bodies of the Union and State Govt.
