"We are very much keen to boost our agricultural co-operation with West Bengal -- from seeds and dairy to horticulture, egg, semi-arid agriculture and also to food processing," Israeli Ambassador to India Alon Ushpiz told reporters in Kolkata after a meeting with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Ushpiz said that an Israeli company was also interested in a couple of water projects in the state.
"I believe that with the help of the Finance Minister (Amit) Mitra, in the coming months, we will be able to cement these projects," he said.
Mitra was also present in the meeting.
Ushpiz said that he came here to further strengthen the relationship between Israel and West Bengal. This was his second visit to the state.
