"While promoting economic activities in Afghanistan, there is a great potential for picking up bilateral projects in textiles, agro-processing and small and medium industry in Afghanistan," Khullar stated.
Khullar also spoke about the possibilities of co-operation in areas like cement and steel, hydrocarbons, construction and construction materials, energy and natural resources, transport, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, banking and financial services, telecom services, real estate and tourism.
He stressed that the businessmen from both India and Afghanistan should work towards resolving the financial issues between the two nations, and enhancing the trade ties between them.
Khullar stated that the growth of exports from Afghanistan to India, recorded at 16 percent in 2011-12, is very slow. He urged Afghanistan to try and improve on the same.
