New Delhi: Getting trade license has been the biggest issue for an entrepreneurs and government has been working to ease the following process.
In a conference organised by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, BJP State President (Delhi) Satish Uphadyay answered entrepreneurs on how government is resolving challenges among traders.
Commenting on how government is helping to ease the process of getting trade license Satish said, “We will appoint a private agency within 15 days that will help people for getting trade licenses."
"The industry department of Delhi will once more ask DDA to add on host of knowledge based industries to its existing industrial list so that such industries become operational in the national capital," said Amit Yadav, Secretary Industries, government of Delhi, who is also the CMD of DSIIDC.
Yadav pointed out that as per stipulations of the on-going Master Plan of Delhi, formulated by DDA, government approvals and licenses are denied for knowledge based industries to become functional within the geographical premises of Delhi such as biotechnology, R&D and design, educational services like skill development, and pharmaceutical lab & solution.
The Secretary Industries said that the industry department of Delhi had approached the DDA to correct this anomaly, by expanding and broad basing the list of industry with due approval of authority concerned but the latter refused to entertain this proposal in the previous regime.
However, with the passage of time and following request from various stakeholders that the approved list for industrial units that can operate in Delhi be expanded for accommodation of knowledge based industries into it, the industry department has informally discussed the matter with the Vice Chairman of the DDA a few weeks ago, explained Yadav.
The DDA is now inclined to revise its earlier stand and willing to expand the industry list and that is why the industry department has begun a new exercise drafting a fresh proposal, asking the DDA to do the desired job with due approval of the Lt. Governor of Delhi, said Yadav.
He also promised that tendering process for lifting of all dirt and filth, accumulated in and around all industrial clusters of Delhi will be completed by March 31, 2015 as part of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ to ensure that its face is cleansed in the first quarter of next fiscal itself.
