The UNIVERGE Cloud services is a complete, software-based unified communications and collaboration solution that redefines the way an enterprise communicates, a company media release said Tuesday.
It enables access anywhere, anytime, operates across premise, cloud or hybrid environments and ensures business continuity through a single application platform, the release said.
“We are strong in the SME space in India and we see a strong uptake for cloud-based unified communication solutions amongst large as well as small & medium enterprises. Indian SMEs currently contribute to about 60 percent of NEC’s revenues in the telephony space. With the launch of this solution we aim to target this segment is a more focused manner. With our suite of customized telephony solutions, we aim to attain 35 percent market share in Indian SME segment in FY2012-13,” Ravinder Raina, country head, private network solutions (PNS), NEC India was quoted as saying in the release.
NEC’s UCaaS is based on a software-based unified communications and collaboration solution that is adaptable to private, hybrid and public-cloud deployment models. The service will offer a wide variety of features such as video collaboration, IP telephony, unified messaging and voicemail, wWeb collaboration & conferencing, mobility and fixed-mobile convergence, softphone, presence and IM, contact center capabilities, 24/7 x 365 customer support and extensive secured Network Operations Center (NOC) services, the release said.
