Bhopal, January 17: In its efforts to revive the rice processing industry, the Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Marketing Federation Limited (MARKFED) has decided to set up six rice mills in five districts of the state.
The corporation plans to develop two rice mills in Seoni and one each in Balaghat, Jabalpur, Satna and Bhind. Markfed is currently inviting bids from original manufacturers for supply, erection and commissioning of six rice mills of capacity 8 MT/hr.
According to the project, the proposed rice mills will have to be equipped with paddy cleaner (fine) with blower and motor, de-stoner, de-husker, pneumatic sheller, husk aspirator, paddy separator, white plus polisher, silk plus polisher, sifter, compressor, elevator, etc, KNN India reports.
Suppliers will also have to look into all other facilities required to run a standard rice mill including building and foundation, lighting, fitting, bulbs, fans and other civil and electrical works.
