More than 100 entrepreneurs from various sectors participated in the program.
The program commenced with welcome address by K. Anil, Chief Regional Manager, IOB, Bangalore Region, who elaborated on the importance of skill development among the entrepreneurs. Suhas Gopinath, World’s Youngest CEO, Global ITeS Pvt Ltd., after inaugurating the event, shared his experience in development of skills to become a successful entrepreneur. He said that the entrepreneurs can approach banks without fear and the hurdles in development can be overcome.
Dr. Rajesh Nayak, Director – Training, Central Bank of Oman, Muscat stressed that neither entrepreneurs should work for money, nor money should work for them.
C. S. Vasantha Kumar, National Banking General Manager, Bangalore talked about the importance of industries in India and the role played by the SMEs for the same. He stated that, specialized SME Processing Centre is in operation in Bangalore and the entrepreneurs can approach it for finance requirement.
S. S. Nayak, FCA Chartered Accountant, S&S Associates Mangalore informed about various Government schemes, which assist to start new enterprises and to develop the SME sector. He gave various ideas to improve skill development among entrepreneur. Nayak, being a Chartered Accountant, spoke about tax issues of the SMEs as well.
Anirbhan Choudhary, Head- Karnataka, SMERA informed about their tie up arrangement with banks; particularly IOB. He talked about the benefits of due-diligence and their rating services to the customer as well as the bankers.
