Chandigarh, January 23: Over 9.02 lakh quintals of sugar has been produced so far by the Cooperative Sugar Mills in Haryana during the current crushing season by crushing 114.55 lakh quintals of sugarcane. In addition, the Cooperative Sugar Mill Assandh has crushed 11.97 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 97,600 quintals of sugar in this season.
According to a spokesman of Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills, a maximum of 19.99 lakh quintals of sugarcane has been crushed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad and 16.93 lakh quintals by Rohtak Sugar Mill, producing over 1.77 lakh quintals and 1.17 lakh quintals of sugar respectively, PTI reports.
Nearly 12.68 lakh quintals of sugarcane has been crushed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal while 11.16 lakh quintals and 10.29 lakh quintals of sugarcane have been crushed by Cooperative Sugar Mills of Kaithal and Gohana producting 1.05 lakh , 87,400 and 79,165 quintals of sugar respectively.
The Cooperative Sugar Mills of Panipat and Meham produced 81,075 and 68,350 quintals of sugar by crushing 9.79 lakh quintals and 9.63 lakh quintals of sugarcane respectively.
The spokesman further said the Cooperative Sugar Mills of Sonipat and Jind have produced 64,480 quintals and 59,655 quintals of sugar respectively.
