Jammu and Kashmir will witness a flurry of activity in the coming fiscal year 2012-13. The State government has approved an INR1,220 crore District Credit Action Plan (DCAP) for Srinagar.
Agriculture and allied sector, small enterprises, and micro credit have all been allotted fixed amounts of INR30.67 crore, INR265.90 crore, and INR27.50 crore respectively under the DCAP for Srinagar.
The DCAP has also addressed the needs of other sectors by allocating INR20 crore for education, INR140 crore for housing and INR640 crore for the non-priority sector.
These details for the DCAP for the coming fiscal 2012-13, were shared during a district level consultative committee meeting.
Baseer Ahmad Khan, the district development commissioner of Srinagar was the chair for the committee meeting. Bank officials, representatives of financial institutions, and district officers were present at the meeting, according to a Hindu Business Line report.
