The two-week long event was opened by MSME Secretary Madhav Lal, in the presence of H. P. Kumar, CMD, NSIC. The Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of Republic of South Africa, Ms Elizabeth Thabethe was also present on the occasion.
Spread over an area of 5000 sqm, the Techmart Pavillion is divided into several segments like machine and machine tools, light engineering, mechanical products, electrical & electronics, institution, leather products, auto components, health care, information technology, rubber products, building materials & general products, providing the MSMEs a platform to network, transfer technologies, discover new market opportunities and to enhance market access in India & abroad.
The option of ‘Virtual Display’ enables around 294 MSMEs to display their product profiles with images and text through e-Catalogues on web portal www.nsicindia.com.
More than 455 participants from all over India are participating in Techmart India 2013, of which 38 entrepreneurs are from the North Eastern states, 22 are women entrepreneurs and 11entrepreneurs belong to SC/ST Category.
Co-sponsored by HSBC, State Bank of India, Allahabad Bank, Punjab National Bank and Credit Rating agencies, the event aims to encourage young people, entrepreneurs, micro and small enterprises to set up new projects, expand their business and export.
