The Secretary of Ministry of MSME, Shri Madhav Lal inaugurated the MSME Expo-2013 at the 33rd edition of IITF, organized by the Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO).
More than 66 participants from all over India are participating in the Expo, exhibiting their products, skill and traditional art work in more than 89 subsidized stalls, facilitated by the office of DC (MSME).
The development commissioner’s office plays an instrumental role in assisting small scale industries in credit, marketing, technology and infrastructure.
The exhibited products range from technical items manufactured with high precision, traditional Ayurveda and artwork. Special category entrepreneurs have been encouraged through enhanced subsidy.
The theme of this year’s IITF is ‘inclusive growth.’ In its statement, ITPO said, “Rapid pace of growth is unquestionably necessary for substantial poverty reduction, but for this growth to be sustainable in the long run, it should be broad-based across sectors, and inclusive of the large part of the country’s labour force.”
The objective of this exhibition is to recognize the strength of India’s micro and small-scale units by showcasing the technology adopted by them in manufacturing products and also to provide a suitable platform at reasonable cost to develop contacts for future trade and business, both domestic and global.
