Reduced import duty will damage Indian auto industry: SIAM

Automobile industry apex body, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), said on Monday that, the proposal to lower Customs duties on fully imported cars, being discussed at the ongoing trade talks between India and the European Union (EU), will prove to be a ‘retrograde step’ for the sector if implemented.
