Aditya Rao shares how has been Local Oye's journey as a startup in 2015 and how they are slowly transforming towards big.
The year 2015 has an exciting time frame for LocalOye and we have had some really interesting experiences encountered during the period. 
 
We kick started the fiscal year by receiving our series A round of funding of $5 Million by Tiger Global Management and Lightspeed Venture Partners. This was a proof of all the time, energy and hard work spent by all the Locos in bringing about a revolution in the services space. The funding helped us to further enhance our business network, develop our core product, and lay more focus on expansion and marketing activities across geographies.
 
LocalOye then shifted its base from Mumbai to Bangalore (Bengaluru), which is considered the hub for start-ups and quality talent pool. The move gave us the leverage to focus on our core abilities and build and strengthen our tech team thereby creating a truly automated product that provides utmost ease and convenience to the consumers when it comes to booking a service online. The services are offered by reliable and trusted partners who are assessed on over 45 parameters for quality checks and service delivery assurance. Over time, these measures have become more & more stringent to ensure the customer gets one of the best service experience in India. Customer request and the following customer feedback and suggestions has played a key role in determining and enhancing the overall user experience. 
 
This does not restrict us to the customers alone. There is always 2 sides to a coin. One being the customer and the other being the service professional. We instituted a robust system that imposes numerous benefits to our service partners and thereby motivating them to deliver a fantastic experience to our customers. One such initiative under the system is providing Life Insurance to our esteemed partners which we believe will go a long way in developing a sense of trust and loyalty.
 
Currently, we serve in 5 cities across 90+ categories with partner network of 6000 service partners catering to the specific needs and requirements of the customers. All our categories are launched post evaluating extensive customer research and data that suggest the need for service under the category bracket. Basis the same, we launched some unique services in the past few months that has witnessed high demand. The new categories include Mom & Baby Care services, Valet Services, Gourmet Caterers, Corporate Services and many more are expected to join the list after thorough research and evaluation. 
 
The year 2015 has seen us rise and grow from a mere start-up to an established organisation that has thrived on the pillars of customer satisfaction and quality service delivery. We are thrilled for the coming year and welcome 2016 with more exciting challenges. 2016 will witness us moving to newer markets and bringing some cool and interesting service categories that will revolutionise the entire services sector.
