Schemes To Protect And Promote MSMEs

 
The MSME registrations grew by 11% during the 2013-14 period

Over a period of time there has been a steady increase in the MSME registrations and Government is implementing various schemes to protect and promote them.

In a press release, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises said that there had been a steady rise by more than 10% in the MSME registrations in the recent times.

It also said that the various schemes and programmes were related to credit, infrastructure development, technology upgradation, marketing assistance etc.

Some of the major schemes include Credit Guarantee Scheme, Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme, Cluster Development Programme, National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme, Marketing Assistance Scheme and Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme.
