At a recent event, Minister of Micro Small Medium Enterprise Kalraj Mishra said that till date 49,564 MSMEs have registered their companies under Udyog Aadhaar memorandum.
Udyog adhaar Memorandum, an initiative taken by the government will help Indians to step forward towards ‘ease of doing business’.
Kalraj Mishra said, “More than 40,000 MSMEs have registered their companies under Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum and we expect more by the end of this year.”
Mishra further said that “Udyog Aadhaar Memorandam is not mandatory for those MSMEs which have already registered under MSME Development Act 2006; if they want they can do or else it is not mandatory.”
In India only 15, 60,000 MSMEs are registered while 3,61,00,000 MSMEs are not registered.
Only the MSMEs registered under Udyog Aadhaar will be able to avail governmental schemes.
