Indian VC’s Startup Corridor to mentor young entrepreneurs

 
US based Indian venture capitalist Asha Jadeja Motwani has recently announced a fellowship program for young entrepreneurs in India – ‘Startup Corridor,’ which will help the aspiring business owners to visit and connect with likeminded entrepreneurs, mentors and seed investors in Silicon Valley.

Asha, widow of late Stanford Professor Rajeev Motwani, is an investor in over 75 start-ups in Silicon Valley and has just begun seed investing in Indian start-ups.

The selected entrepreneurs for the first round of the initiative include Sanjay Vijayakumar, chairman, Startup Village, Sijo Kuruvilla George, CEO, Startup Village and co-founder, MobME, Deepak Ravindran, founder and CEO, Innoz Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and Mohammed Hisamuddin, co-founder and CIO, Innoz. All of them are invited for an intense two-week assignment in Silicon Valley.

The Startup Corridor will also boost Kerala government's SV Square' (Startup Village to Silicon Valley) initiative, under which five Kerala students/entrepreneurs, selected by Startup Village, will be sent for a stint at Silicon Valley in May-June.
