Bengaluru: Responding positively to a representation from KASSIA, Former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy reiterated his earlier promise to sanction a corpus of Rs 500 crore to Micro and Small Scale Enterprises which will be used for developing and supporting the growth and welfare of Micro and Small Scale Enterprises, if his party, the Janata Dal (Secular) is elected to power.

Interacting with the Members of KASSIA including a large section of micro and small entrepreneurs and representatives of small industry associations from across the State at KASSIA Uydog Bhavan on Wednesday, the Former Chief Minister pledged his full support for all issues concerning the MSMEs and said he will take up their cause in the appropriate forum at the concerned level and fight on their behalf. He said if elected to power, he would follow a open door policy with full and free access to the Vidhana Soudha for expeditious resolution of the grievances of the industry. Instead of a solitary interaction with the industry before the annual Budget, he promised to hold monthly interactions with the industry to make sure that all their problems were resolved promptly to their satisfaction. The Former Chief Minister also responded patiently to all the queries raised by the participants during an extended Q&A session, despite the interaction extending late into the night.

KASSIA President R. Hanumanthe Gowda appealed to the Former Chief Minister to proactively take up issues of the small scale industry and help to improve the ease of doing business. The interaction was part of an outreach by KASSIA with all prominent political parties before the State Assembly Elections.
