The initiative comes under a PHD Chamber project titled IT-MahaAbhiyaan which aims to power the country's SMEs with robust IT infrastructure. According to the MoU, the project will be a combined effort to be completed in collaboration with IamSMEofIndia and Cluster Innovation Center (CIC) of the Delhi University (DU), Jagran Josh reports.
Speaking at the occasion of signing MoU, DU Vice Chancellor Dinesh Singh said its high time adequate focus is given to the small and medium business sector. He opined that when the whole attention falls on a few large scale industries, it will lead to severe social upheaval.
RajiveChawla, Director of IamSMEofIndia said the MoU would help SMEs develop their technological know-how which will help them in increasing their productivity. He also said its a win-win situation for everyone as this initiative will help DU students to be trained and industry ready.
