Delegates From 11 Countries Visit Export-Oriented Industries in Karnataka

The delegates were part of the global trade and business imperatives for SMEs to observe the features and activities of private/ government organization involved in managerial functions.

Bangalore, December 31: Delegates from 11 countries have attended an interaction meeting organized by the National Institute of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NIMSME) and Hebbal Industrial Estate Manufacturers' Association (HIEMA) at the latter's premises here on Monday.

The delegates visited many export-oriented industries in the state including herbal mineral water industry, research and bio-medical garbage bag manufacturing unit, Sri Dhanvanthri Ayurveda Prathisthana, Sachidanada Industries and Goldline Inc, the Times of India reports.

Officials from 11 countries including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Combodia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Ethopia, Sudan, Tajikistan, and Nigeria attended the meeting. They were part of the global trade and business imperatives for SMEs to observe the features and activities of private/ government organization involved in managerial functions, the report said.

HIEMA secretary C M Subramaniam explained to the delegates as to why Indian products are expensive compared to Chinese products. He also spoke about many issues pertaining to employment, access to finance and other problems faced by SMEs. The Hebbal Industrial Estate has emerged as one of the most advanced industrial parks for SMEs.
