Organised by the PSG Tech Alumni Association, under PSG Institutions, the expo will provide a platform to individuals, entrepreneurs, as well as the unorganised sector to exhibit their ideas and innovations.
The co-organisers of the event are PSG Arts Alumni Association, PSG Management Alumni Association and PSGIMSR Alumni Association.
Talking about the initiative, A.V. Varadharajan, Chairman, i3 Expo said, “Because of the unavailability of enough platforms to showcase ideas, several novel techniques across industries miss the limelight. Via i3 Expo, we intend to give recognition to such ideas, while help them commercialise the process simultaneously.”
Trustee of PSG Institutions Gopalakrishnan informed that, the Expo will also offer GRD i3 cash awards to the top three participants, as well as Rs 25,000 each to ten exhibitors on merit basis. The top three exhibitors will receive Rs 1 lakh, Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 for the first, second and third positions respectively.
At present, the organizers are inviting applications from everyone, who possesses an idea, innovation or invention in the form of sketches, narration, miniature or working models, tools etc. from across the country. The registration forms are available till September 14.
Varadharajan said that, so far, more than 2,000 mailers are sent and expects the expo to have around 500 stalls.
