TN offers programme to address skill gaps

In a bid to develop entrepreneurial ecosystem and to address skill gaps in the state, the Tamil Nadu government is inviting proposals from the state residents to participate at a six-week skill development program, which would enable them to start micro and small enterprises (MSEs), reports KNN.

Candidates, having complete school education, are eligible to submit a proposal of their business plan. On selection, the candidates will be trained on various entrepreneurial skills and on successful completion of the course, will be offered credit facilities under various government schemes.

To select candidates for the programme, the MSME Development Institute will conduct an industrial motivation campaign on November-18.

MSME-DI is the apex body to formulate and monitor policies governing the Micro, Small & Medium Industries in the country. The body chalks out schemes and programmes for development of the MSME Sector.
