MCCI is collaborating with the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Karnataka Udyog Mithra, Karnataka Industrial Areas' Development Board (KIADB), the state Tourism Department, and Karnataka State Small Industries' Development Corporation to organize the seminar.
The seminar will provide guidance and assistance to young entrepreneurs from the Mysore zone (including Mandya, Hassan, Kodagu, Chikmagalur and Chamarajanagar) who wish to set up their own business.
Sudhakar S Shetty, President of MCCI, stated that the seminar is expected to raise an investment of nearly INR5,000 crore for the benefit of entrepreneurs .Several banks are also participating in the seminar, to look into granting of loans to worthy aspiring entrepreneurs.
The seminar aims at creating awareness among the participants about the number of schemes that are available to them, and will also provide guidance to entrepreneurs about the various challenges faced by them.
"Prominence will be given to young entrepreneurs and farmers to start food-processing units, hotels and resorts, as Mysore is a tourism place," Shetty stated.
