Indian printing industry to grow to $20.9 b in ‘13

The All India Federation of Master Printers, with support from the Indian Newspaper Society (INS) and the Federation of Indian Publishers, is going to organize the ninth edition of the international exhibition on printing and allied machinery industries (PAMEX 2013) from November 14-17 in Greater Noida, reports IANS.

The four day event is the only dedicated international exhibition for the industry in Asia.

Being organized to promote Indian printing industry to make it the largest printing market by 2015, PAMEX 2013 is expected to have around 258 exhibitors from 22 countries and 26,000 visitors approximately.

"This international exhibition shall provide a platform for the exhibitors to do business and interact with technology providers and buyers," said A.M.S.G. Ashokan, president of the All India Federation of Master Printers.

India’s printing industry, valued at $12.1 billion in 2011, is expected to grow to about $20.9 billion by the end of the current fiscal by virtue of low-cost production and ready-to-adopt new technology.
